The Streets of My Town

mzdt and his excellent photographic skills are to blame for feeding my addiction to photography and feeling the urge to re-surrect pictures.

I am not without mercy however, so I've used Lj-cuts with handy titles to help group pictures from various travels.

Foreshadowing: Montenegro

Winter and Summer

For any feeling curious, previous photography of Belgrade can be found here

Main Square, and Karlo's Bridge

Bedouin settlements in the desert, and a goat market

Does anybody but me see irony in Bedouins next to Japanese trucks?

I love the pictures where the snow lines the trees-lovely!

(but stop making me want to spend $$$ to go there ;o))

Not really - when we lived in Baghdad,Iraq in 1980-1981, our car was a white Datsun. :)

Also, something cultural that I remember: the boys and men rode in the air-conditionned front cab of the pickups, the women & children were relegated to the back with the sheep. :/

Travel, travel, travel! ;)
My preferred irony was in the yards in the Bedouin camps there were huge satelite dishes.

Wow, just wow.

Are you watching "sex trade"? A fair amount of the start is set in Bosnia, and two of the main characters seem to come from there and those parts are subtitled. It made me think of you :o) (the language, not the sex trade!)

I watched some of sex trade - missed the beginning, caught some of the middle but had to stop and set it to tape the rest if ever I'm feeling stronger or more masochistic.

What I saw of it was very good in an extremely grim way.

The script and both extremely gritty and excellent, and after the rape scenes I had to stop.

I only saw the beginning, and that wasn't much fun either!

Is your phone working? Have you rung BT to get ti fixed? I need to talk to you this weekend if possible. If not I can email you, but it would be easier to phone :o)

Love you

Last time was November 2001. I've got quite a bit of family Israel, but mostly I was on the Dead Sea but also made trips inland.
