Things about December that I have enjoyed:
*Going on holiday.
* Meeting up with
* Being allowed to decorate paper crowns with glitter glue and feathers.
* Making elaborate plans for hedonism and gluttony over the coming BabyJesusMas.
* Unusually compliant hair.
Things about December that I have not been so keen on, on the whole:
* The bitter, bitter cold.
* The transition from bed to work.
*Pan's Labyrinth; to be fair it's a beautifully-shot, well-acted, imaginative piece of work. My qualm with the film is the amount of bloody violence, which as far as I'm concerned outscored Tarantino and had me spend roughly a third of the movie with my head wedged into Z's armpit and my hands over my ears going "just tell me when it's over". I think my reaction has more to do with the increasing nervous wrecketude and less with the quality of the film which I'm sure many people would enjoy if they are willing to put up with graphic scenes of torment. This may well be the establishment of a sad trend in my life, a slippery slope to watching nothing but Disney cartoons (or at least watching films-with-upsetment-potential in venues where it is not frowned upon to clamp your head in your hands while humming lalala ican'thearthescreamingifihum lalalalala thinkonlyofbirdsandflowers lalalalalala

And I was very sad, because I wanted to read it and see the purdy pictures.
But now it is fixed and all lovely!
In that one picture, you and Z have the same expression. You are going to be an old married couple that comes to look like each other. How sweet!

Oh dear. I'm not sure when I'll be ready to relinquish being the taller, slimmer one. ;) Although I would give that up just to see him wearing necklaces and nailpolish.
How have you been? (I'm still catching up on what the internets have been up to)
