Tor's Day

We're at a secret location near Bristol at tjej's mum's house and I have spent several days without the internet which would undoubtedly have been unthinkable had I not spent the said days walking around small English towns and big Cathedrals therein, but I have bought shiney things to compensate. In the past few days I've sat in the silent, and eaten boar burgers [delicious, i totally want more], drunk wine from a box and had a fab, fab time.

Today instead of Easter eggs, I had smiles and kisses [just as well, much less fattening] and Z and I drove to Glastonbury which seemed to feature more New Age shops and hippies than the rest of England put together, which is probably a good thing as that way they are not spreading their bad dressing habits to the rest of the country. And I for reasons which later eluded me thought it would be a good idea to walk up to the Glastonbury Tor which is a giant motherfucking hill and I thought I was going to die on the ascent and Z didn't even break a sweat blast him. On the other hand, I felt that every step was both an accomplishment and an agony, as my knee whined, and my muscles burned and I would have undoubtedly been swearing was I not saving my breath for actual breathing. [Really it's just as well that Z is driving, because I may never walk again].

The view from the top of the hill was amazing though. There were ravens gliding on the updrafts of wind, and people flying kites so dizzyingly high that I felt lightheaded and height-sick just looking up at them from the ground. The sky threatened rain which never came and the walk was worth it. I felt a sense of giddy, lighthearted joy and helpingss of peace.

And since then we've come down off the hill, but I still feel so drunk with exercise and oxygen that I can barely string sentences together, but pictures coming up tomorrow night probably when I've finished downloading them off my camera.

I've spent the past half hour skim reading the past 300 entries on my f-list, you lot talk loads but don't stop because I enjoy reading it. Comments coming when I return to London and my brain.

although to be fair, he did offer helpful comments: "You've gone really red in the face honey." "Oh gee, honey, have I really? Perhaps it's beacause I'm about to have a STROKE"
