I started the morning on a hugely constructive note by managing to drop my mobile phone on my foot, although I'm pleased to report that thus far both phone and foot appear to be undamaged.

I like Tuesday mornings - because generally I get to sleep in a little, or alternatively lie for a long time in the bath pretending I am a mermaid. Part of the joy of longer hair is the way it floats.

Tuesday mornings are dove grey, with tendrils of midnight blue.

And, due to popular demand...

Hooray for floaty hair - very much a thing of the past for me...

Curiously enough someone, and I forget who, posted something on their LJ a few days ago about lying in the bath and feeling not like a mermaid but like Ophelia. I think that says a lot. Probably healthier to feel like a mermaid, really...

you must wear your rue with a difference
Unhealthy to the core, oh yes.

Mayhap so, but you're still dashingly charming and I'm certain you make a perfectly lovely Ophelia.

Although your short hair looks very good on you, so perhaps it's a fair trade off for the loss of the floatyness factor.

One of the reasons I don’t like baths is taht I find it so difficult to spend less than trhee hours in one…

Yes, my hair floats in the water, almost like a slow wind blowing through it.

Exception is when the water’s got so cold, I’ve let most of it out, in preperation for adding lots of fresh hot water :-)

A village woman you say?
Drat, there go all my aspirations of being an intellectual.

In all seriousness though, I'm interested - I'm curious to know more about this. :)

Bengali rural woman, dark hair, dark eyes, nose ring. Usually a sari without a blouse, as cannot afford latter...

um... hi....

i've stumbled across your journal many times when browsing through friends-of-friends and each time i think "wow what a nifty person i should read more" and then usually i've just wandered away all self-consciously, except that finally i decided to add you to my friends list, because what you write somehow resonates really well.

so, um, i hope it's okay i've friended you, and if not please let me know.
