Recipe for Fish Soup

I'm sticking it up here so I don't lose it:

riblja corba

sastojci

1/2 kg. ribe
2 leeks
2 peppers
2 tomatoes
2 large carrots
root of celery
parsley leaf and root
1 potato (optional)
tomato juice
a little bit of peas
cooked sweetcorn (instead of potatoes)

the ingredients(except for the fish)chop up and put into hot water to cook. Before the carrot softens completely add the fish, cook some more. Then take out several pieces of fish and put them on a separate plate while putting everything else in the blender. Once the mass is blended return to the pot and add tomato juice and the fish pieces from the plate that weren't blended. Add in the sweetcorn and the peas and altogether cook for another few minutes. Add some white wine to taste.

Season with some chopped parsley, dill or coriander.

Serve with some pepper/croutons and creme fraiche .

Make someone else do the dishes.

I take it "ribe" is the fish *grins*

Have you ever tried it with chicken? (don't like 99% of fish)

Love from me

lol indeed it is!
And I'm sure you could use chicken even though it seems like a sacrilege.

What kinds of fish have you tried? There's loads of different varietis and there is a huge variance in how they taste. I'm not crazy about tuna or cod but red snapper or monkfish or trout can reduce me to tears of gastronomical ecstasy.
