Clovember retrospective 24-30

smiley
So despite diligently documenting my clos on my phone, I didn't get around to uploading them until today.

clovember 24

Necklace is from this ebay store which I highly recommend for their quick service and awesome bargain jewellery.

Love of stripes and long cardigans goes on as before.

clovember 25

I find myself wearing a lot of sedate colours for work - greys and blacks, so I love this pencil skirt for its jolly paisley pattern.

clovember 26

Lovely, trusty soft cowlneck sweater making a reappearance with long pencil skirt from M&S (why do you no longer make these M&S? Whyyyyy?)

However, happily M&S still make these floral thermal tights which get two thumbs up from me for their silkiness, prettiness and heat-generating abilities.

After I splattered myself on the pavement for the fifth time in three days, I gritted my teeth and shelled out for a pair of waterproof Uggs (pictured above). I did this with a heavy heart - I dislike handing over substantial sums of money for shoes - but I decided I disliked breaking my leg even more and it's been one of the best decisions I made recently.

Aesthetically they are not my favourite - I refer to these as my Communist Working boots, thanks to their resemblance to the government-issue footwear of the female workforce in my childhood. However I can only conclude that Socialists knew what they were doing because these shoes are amazing.

Thanks to a combination of achilles tendonitis and plantar fasciitis (more fun to write than to experience!) I can't wear many shoes without pain, but these are amazing. The heel is high enough and soft enough to relieve tendon pain but not so high as to affect my wonky sense of balance. The sole grips like a mofo - I have worn them daily and not splattered myself once since they came into my life. They are also warm and dry and therefore I award them the title of Most Useful Boots Ever.

Long woolen skirt reappears and continues to make me happy. Extremely warm cardigan with a flower pattern also makes me very happy.

clovember 28

A client made me this necklace for a present last Christmas and I adore it for its lovely print as well as for its sturdiness (totally childproof! Completely immune to grabby hands of one Helena, that great Destroyer of Necklaces!).

clovember 28

Another of my second-hand bargain Phase Eight dresses (under £10! Ebay has brought me much joy). The dress has tendency to ride up more than one expects from a sedate knee-length number, but its excellent ruching makes up for it.

Long cardigans and leggins mean that it is the weekend. Yay weekend!

Amaaazing collection of clothes. I can see a colour and line pattern here, which in my mind is typical of Type 2, which is just perfect for you.

I slipped over in uggs and really cut my knee up so please be careful, apparently it's a common problem on certain surfaces in wet weather

Love this pic! How much were those Uggs? (tho Everthere's comment makes me wary)
