Road Safety for Camels

This morning, while Z and I are getting gussied up for our places of employment, our child is on the bed, playing with a truck. Suddenly he grows still. And serious. And concerned. He removes a plastic camel from the vicinity of the truck and sets it down on the pillow with instructions to:

"Stay there, sweetheart. There's lots of cars on the road and it is DANGEROUS."

Ah, now you have to be careful, as your words are coming out of your child's mouth. Something about three-year old boys: the wrong words come out at the wrong time, to the wrong person. Actually, make that big boys too. At least he's listening.
