Today, I can only offer you small bits and pieces of woe since I am ill, which is both wretched and dull.

1. Morose Frog Baby wants you to know that he also knows suffering:

2. George the Cat padded into the house from the garden, carrying a largish dead bird by its head all 'Look at what I have brought for you Human Woman! It will look lovely on your bedspread.'

I screamed, and he panicked and fled with it from whence he came.
I'm sorry George! I appreciate the thought, even though I find it disguisting.

I would skip the concern and tell him to fuck off and then eat cake infront of him.

That is a fabulous picture!

I do wish my husband cared about my weight. If he did, I might be 5 stone thinner. I know that doesn't sound very helpful - but it is true!

Yeah, I'm all set to go to Slimming World after unimag said "I don't mind, but, I mean, you have put on quite a bit of weight since you moved here".

I'm 22 years older then him, so I should at least stay in shape, I guess. Plus I HATE the size I am now and I need to lose some fat for actual "health reasons".

Z will be pleased that someone supports his point of view. I wish i did find it motivational rather than sad and angry making

Of course. I do understand ....

But if one comment, way back, had upset me I might have done something about it (like I did when I gave up smoking) ...

At least one member of the household can display their belly with pride. ;)

MEH! Poor you with the illness! And the unreasonable comments! BAH. I hug you in a way that is supportive, yet does not contain any dead birds. xx

No dead birds? Then how will I know that you value me?

Baby as gorgeous as ever. The comment would upset me too and I wouldn't react well! Brian has commented on my eating before and said I should "be careful" and I stropped accordingly.

Men! When will they learn?
Maybe in a future evolution will favour men who steer away from dangerous sentences.

If Z thinks one iota of you is out of shape, he needs his eyes examined. I say do everything but "lose 20 pounds" (unless, of course, you wish to).

Yes, I wouldn't mind shifting some weight, but being told I should is never going to do anything but backfire considering the perversity and contrariness of my nature. :)

other. You get divorced :p

or in a more realistic universe, you eat vengence cake. And tell him to fuck off to the gym instead

Delicious Vengeance cake! With extra cream and a side order of sulkines!

I have been trying to tell Z for a while that my psyche responds much better to bribery than to confrontation.

Yes but aren't you already "doing something" [Lunar Phase diet]?

I think I misread your first option as "Thanks for your concern, Z, now go and do something about YOUR extra 20 lbs" xD

I was, and have added Pilates into it. But I think thanks to my hectic work schedule my current diet of disordered meals and late-night dinners is not doing me any favours.

On the other hand, I am admiring from afar your nearing conquest of Rivendell.

The nightmare that is 'Sick Child'
Ah! it is so horrendous when one's child is unwell! I feel for you. As the parent of 2 I understand what you are going through. We think that there should be a hospital wing named after our rabbit seeing that we have been to St George's and St Thomas' so many, many times.

At lease your seal is on the mend-- your own mental scars take longer to fade! LOL

Re: The nightmare that is 'Sick Child'
Yes, I could survive not seeing the inside of another hospital for a while. :)

Thank you for your kind thoughts.
