Countdown

Six hour til ground zero. Or at least til tomorrow's transport to the airport arrives.

I have decided that I will not sleep, since I have quite a few things left to get done and I am too paranoid that if I sleep I will just oversleep.

I have also decided that if I maybe stay on the net long enough stuff I need to do will magically do itself Mary Poppins style.

Here are things I have accomplished so far:

*cashed cheque so I will have some money when I get back

*fitted into jeans despite pigging out the last few days

*written down all the phonenumbers of all the people I need to deliver stuff to in Belgrade

*bought all the things people asked me to.

*located my passports and plane ticket

*given thought to what I am going to pack and how I will make it fit and ways in which I can heap with guilt people who asked me to carry stuff to Yug, or what favours to extract from them in return

*Consumed most of the food in the fridge that was going to go bad, and put the rest in the freezer.

*burned a garlic bread

Things that I need to do but haven't

*wash dishes

*pack

*update CV and send off a job application

*go for blood tests my GP referred me for back in Novemeber (it is really getting ridicuolous now)

*sent off a couple of parcels I need to mail

*roasted the five peppers I have in the fridge

*PM'd people I need to PM

*discovered the cure for cancer

*get a job

*not jump to conclusions about friends neglecting or hating me, and not think that it is the end of the world if they do.

GOod list, eh?

*burned a garlic bread

In the immortal words of Peter Kaye in Phoenix Nights...

"Garlic bread is the future; I've tasted it"
