SureEnd Queens Park

I am now engaged to my boyfriend in spirit since last night when I was poorly he came bearing DVDs, pizza and toilet paper and thus having proved himself to be an adequate provider for all my needs I proclaimed him in my heart to be my life partner. If he’d chucked in some tacky jewellery with that pizza or even better some tacky religious memorabilia we would have been looking for a priest right then.

In other big news I have unofficially resigned from my job as of today (I am officially resigning on Thursday 1st of December when I give my one month’s notice). The reasons I did this are many and varied (and shall be expanded on in another post, but in the meantime I shall include the email I sent to my beloved following this morning’s conversation with my manager when I informed her of my intention to not be here come end of the year

Sweetie!

I did it, I said "Goodbye and thanks for all the fish!"
And they said "Sorry to lose you, but do whatever is best for you"

Awwwwwwwwwwwww.

Now official countdown of 42 days before I become A BUM. You are going to be starting your life with a timewaster ON THE DOLE. Just so you know.

Your ever loving girlfriend and potential mother of future little timewaster hobo bums,

N

Awww how sweet :)
You know they're sweet on you when they buy you TP. (you know they're well and firmly hooked if they buy you femine hygine products)

Congratulations! :D

i don't think we've reached the feminine hygeine products stage of intimacy yet but it's good to have a goal to aspire to!

Thank you. :)
Current job are offering me the opportunity to cut down my hours to just two days a week and they are being super super nice to me and therefore they ARE MESSING WITH MY HEAD and sabotaging all my new plans. Damn.

*lots of job love back at you*

hope to see you sunday?

Ah, the old two-day-a-week thing. That's what my current job have done with me now, but it's more because of limits to their fundign than anything else. It's kind of good, because it means I can sit about in my pyjamas and not do very much on days lke today, safe in the knowledge that at least I'm a little bit part of the normal working world, and I'm earning just about enough to pay the bills. On the other hand, it's sort of lulled me into a false sense of security and stopped me from moving on. If your boss is as odd as you say, then it's probably best for you to cut all ties, no?

I'm not as sure about Sunday as I was, because I think I might need to spend some time at the weekend revising for my 'little chat' (they've asked me to present my opinion on some stuff) and panic buying new trousers. I'll let you know, though, and if I can't meet you this weekend, then I promise I'll see you as soon as I can afterwards.

I've been buried in an underground of misery and exhaustion that follows the footsteps of underpaid overwork during the course of which people shout at you.

How are things with you?

yeah I've just updated about it.
She did it again today. It sounds petty, but day after day it's kind of getting me down, however from all the personalities involved in the situation I really see no possibility for improvement.

Re: yeah I've just updated about it.
:(
It's really horrible when that happens and I'm sorry it's happening to you. Testy managers can be the absolute ruination of one's motivation.

Is shouty manager better than being workless though?

I might stay on with SSQP on halved hours until I find another job to tide me over, but still I am definately on my way out.

but on a positive but unrelated note - do you know that after stints of absence on LJ I always make a point of setting aside some time to see what's new on your LJ and catch up properly?

definitely better than workless
and vv good hours - leaves me evenings and weekends to play with.

Well nearly all posts have been filtered so that only I can see them - except for a couple of recent ones. Do you want me to put you on the filter for a bit so that you can catch up?

*updates to squee*!

You can't be a timewaster on the dole yet - got to wait six months if you resign voluntarily.

Argh!
My long slow march towards income support curtailed yet again!

At least I shall be a timewaster with unlimited net access which is going quite some way to consoling me.

DVD's, Pizza, and TP?
I courted a girl by walking half-way accross a city to buy her tampons.
