A while back I was cleaning the house, and organising my papers and photographs when I came across my unfinished sketches for paintings and the little case of guache and suddenly painting seemed much more important than cleaning, so I covered the floor with newspapers and my face and hands with streaks of blue and made:

And so you should be. I've seen a few paintings recently that have really made me wish that I could paint. Until recently I've just been happy to accept that I can't!!

I've had a new admiration for paintings and drawings in general ever since I've gotten to Europe. I need to collect one from every country I've been to now!

And I broke one that I got from Sweden two weeks ago. =(

Well it was a long picture of the Swedish river in Stockholm done in a cartoony fashion. Well when I broke the frame I found out it was nothing but a cheap machine print. Oh well, you get what you pay for and I knew something that was only about 100kr (12EU? 8pounds?) wasn't going to get you high quality work.

It was still a nice picture though and I think I'll have it reframed. No one needs to know it wasn't hand done anyway. :X

And on a side note, the store I got it from is called Tavel målare. The transalation to that would be "painting painter". LoL~!

That's yummy, in the bottom left corner is that a double-shelled snail? A Chinook Snail perhaps. In fact Chinook is a good name for the cat?

I'm not sure whether it's a double-shelled snail. Certainly it wasn't intentional since I don't know very much about snail species, but I did like the way the image of it in my head looked.
